my Story

With a background in musical performance and event design and production I’ve found that bringing all of the small pieces together to form something worth experiencing and remembering is where I come alive. I view all of my past experiences as invaluable to my process now, and value the extensive experience I’ve gained pulling all of the parts together to make something entirely new as paramount to my approach to my work. I believe most things in life are not mutually exclusive, and that efficient strategy and clear budgets don’t have to be a roadblock to strong creative work.

For the past 8 years I’ve worked as a photographer, interior designer, and creative consultant helping clients tell their own story in a way that feels meaningful and personal. I love helping people create visuals, strategies, messages and spaces that fulfill the needs they have, while also creating a final product that invites you in.

Photography and Creative Clients include: Banana Republic, Gap, Burts Bees, Google, Amazon, Marriott, South Tree, Wal-Mart, Eco Tools, Happy Socks, Proof Bar and Incubator, Nowvel, L2 Outside, Second Story Property Management, Vivian Walker Designs, Felt App, Loxa Beauty, and more. Works published in Esquire, Garden and Gun, Buzzfeed and more.

My approach to design, creative work and photography is one that is deeply shaped by my love for inventiveness, creativity, and finding beauty in the details and mundane. I believe that sometimes the simplest touch or alteration to perspective can have the highest impact, and that everything, in one way or another, is a form of art.

From a very early age I remember knowing that I would always work in a creative outlet (though I also loved keeping my ledger as an eight year old—I was obviously a very fun child), and I spent my childhood soaking in everything I could to that end. I grew up in a family that built primarily custom experience based vacation homes in addition to other businesses, and I spent hours listening in on architectural and design meetings while drafting my own floor plans. I built worlds in my sketchbooks, and was always driven to understand how to make visions into reality. I spent countless days with old film cameras learning to capture images that conveyed the story I was trying to tell through them, and waiting weeks for rolls to be developed so I could start all over again.

I grew up spending part of my time on a farm in Georgia with my horses and part time on a tiny out island in the Bahamas. In between we travelled often and I loved discovering new places and seeing things from a new angle with a passion that kept me up at night. I found very early that I was deeply drawn to the macabre and the raw, with an equal love for the refined and classical.
