Details in the Moments

Things have settled back into something resembling rhythm around here, as the holidays wind down. Today my house was quiet for the first time in days, and it was just Jane and I beginning to try to move back to a routine that we'll pick up after new years. We had a tea party with her babies, and she did the honors of "making tea" with all the pomp and ceremony of a queen. It's late, and I'm not quite focused enough to look back over my year and bid it adieu, not just yet, so this is what I wore today...I think it's going to be my uniform as we transition into spring. These boots are my new favorites, and I have yet to break down and actually part with this sweatshirt long enough to wash it since I got it on Christmas (my mother knows me well). I love pieces with unexpected details...stitching, colors, and textures that draw you in. They add interest to ease.

I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas, who's ready to throw it down on New Years Eve?!
