Wearing Forever 21 crop top (similar here), Vintage Skirt, Guess heels (not available online anymore, but these are similar
and I actually like them better!)
Hello! It's been a mostly rainy, desperately humid (read, feels like a tropical rain forest), week here in Tennessee. However, after moving from a place where it's 50 degrees in June, I'm not complaining!
I wore this outfit yesterday, and it's an embodiment of one of my favorite things this summer: crop tops and flowing skirts. I think a little flowing skirt is just so feminine, but I can never make a tucked in shirt look right (blame it on my ridiculously short torso). Enter the crop top. I fell in love this these this summer, and now own about a million in every color (ok, a few, in several colors). They lengthen a short waist with a high rise skirt (SCORE), and they're so easy. This one is one that I picked up at forever 21 just to try, before jumping on the crop top bandwagon 100%. The skirt is something I got at my absolute favorite boutique consignment shop when we lived in Spokane (www.fringeandfray.net/ check it if you're anywhere near Spokane, WA). It laid in my closet for months until I found it again the other day. It's vintage and just has the softest, most delicate flowing look. These shoes I scored on sale a few weeks ago at Ross and have pretty much worn them everyday since I got them.
I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend!
